At the beginning of October, I participated in the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show and Grand National Wedding Cake Competition.  It was a fantastic experience.  I met new people and was able to participate in a class at the end of the show, taught by Jason Ellis, Joshua John Russell and James Rosselle of Food Network Challenge fame. 

My wedding cake did not place, but my divisional entry won its category, so I was quite pleased.  I posted pictures in the gallery.  Next year's theme for the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition is "Mansions and Monasteries".  I can't wait!  Check out pictures of the winners at www.oklahomasugarartists.com.  All of the top winners will be posted there soon.
